Hi, my name is ____ and I live in Wyoming. I’m calling to ask Senator ____ to vote NO on SF 74, the law that creates a pesticide manufacturer liability shield. SF 74 would take away Wyoming citizens’ right to hold pesticide companies accountable under state law when their products are falsely or misleadingly labeled and cause serious harm. Under current law, if a pesticide label is false or misleading, WY residents can sue to get justice and protect their families. SF 74 would gut those state protections and give pesticide manufacturers a special immunity shield for 57,000 different pesticide products, including those linked to cancer, Parkinson’s, and infertility.
